I have been a pot cozy fanatic for a few years now. I can’t believe it took me so long to discover just how amazing the cozy is. I have been using a double walled cozy for a long time and always thought it was the double wall that was the reason for my great heat retention. I got a comment a few months ago from a youtube subscriber that the double wall might be excessive. Off to the workshop, I went!
I did a few initial trials and found that a single wall cozy should work if I could find a way to keep the heat in at the junction between the top and the sides. I did some searching and found a great design from Antigravity Gear. I made the cozy and have been testing it over the last couple months. I love it! It is not quite as good at keeping in the heat, but it is certainly good enough. My food still stays too hot to eat even after 30 minutes of sitting in the cozy. It also has a slot for your pot handles to make it easier to get in and out of the cozy. Go check it out and tell me what you think! I have been loving it.
