Online Sources of Dried Food

Harmony House Foods

Don’t have a dehydrator?  No worries, Harmony House has you covered.  From dried fruit and veggies to dried meat substitute that tastes good, you can find all your dried food needs at Harmony House.

Nido Dried Whole Milk Powder

This is a link to Amazon.com.  You can also find it at Latina Markets as well.  The link above is for two 1.75 lb cans.  There are smaller quantities, but this is the best deal.

Hash Brown Potatoes

I just got some of these from Amazon and they are really good!  You rehydrate them with water, then fry the up in a pan.  I would not have known that they were dried potatoes.

Minimus.biz – Condiment packets

Not dried food, but some things just don’t dry! Specifically I use the olive oil packets and the mayo packets.  Both have an excellent calorie to oz ratio. Mayo is about 200 cal/oz and olive oil is closer to 240 cal/oz.  They might be “heavy”, but you get way more calories out of them then most other foods.  Instant rice is only 115 cal/oz.  They also add a ton of flavor!
